By using GridsDown you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Community rules
The forum, Downers map, radio test requests and off-grid chat are shared spaces. You agree to:
- No harassment, hate or threats. Zero tolerance. Accounts that do this are removed.
- Protect privacy. Never post anyone's address, phone number or exact location, including your own.
- Keep it safe and legal. No instructions for violence, weapons modifications or anything illegal. No spam or scams.
- Be helpful. We're all trying to keep our families safe.
- Report problems. Use Report and Block. Content reported by several people is hidden right away, and we review reports within 24 hours.
We may remove content or accounts that break these rules, without notice. You keep ownership of what you post, and you give us permission to store and show it to other GridsDown users so the community features work.
Your account
Your recovery key is the only way into your account unless you add an email. We can't see or reset it. If you lose the key and have no confirmed email, the account and its backup can't be recovered. You're responsible for keeping the key safe.
Radio use
Many radio services require a license (for example amateur radio and GMRS in the U.S.). You're responsible for following the rules for the radios and frequencies you use. GridsDown doesn't transmit on any radio service.
Information, not professional advice
Guides, gear lists, supply math and radio references are general information to help you plan. They aren't medical, legal or professional safety advice and may not fit your situation. Get proper training (for example first aid and CPR), follow official instructions from local authorities, and in an emergency call 911 or your local emergency number.
No guarantees
GridsDown is provided "as is." Online features depend on our servers and the internet and can be unavailable; off-grid chat depends on nearby phones and isn't guaranteed to deliver messages. Don't rely on GridsDown as your only way to call for help. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Tech G Labs isn't liable for losses arising from use of the app, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it.
Changes
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and, for big changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use GridsDown means you accept the updated terms.
